General / Diagnostic  Radiology Locums – Two distinct options within the city of Darwin. In both sites, you will be greeted by great staff and be set up with excellent IT and stations as well as rooms for any procedural work.

We always offer a mix of reporting and procedures that are matched to your own skillset and preferences.

Requirement – Monday to Friday work days, no oncall or weekends required.

Location details

The Position

This is a clinic based position and our radiology partner offers a range of services including X-ray, CT, US, Dental, Interventional Procedures, MSK, pregnancy imaging, and women’s imaging. Both sites have part-time radiologists so on some days the workload would be shared and at other times you would be the sole radiologist.

We’re keen to speak with you if you’re a Tier A radiologist or a Tier B radiologist who covers general radiology reporting and some general procedural work.

I’m Jason Ahmad – Senior Radiology Recruitment Partner at Prescript. I have worked in a number of health-related fields; however, medical recruitment has been the most enjoyable. I have more than 20 years of experience in areas such as Pathology, Medical Indemnity and GP Recruitment. This broad knowledge base allows me to understand the challenges faced by those in our field and therefore find solutions that often create enduring positive outcomes.

I am driven professionally by being able to create positive and meaningful health outcomes in rural and regional communities. It is immensely satisfying helping practices and hospitals find the right doctor for their permanent and locum positions, and I pride myself on finding optimal outcomes that balance doctor needs with practice requirements. Every time I make a placement, we are one step closer to solving the regional doctor shortage.

I see many opportunities for growth in the medical industry. I am particularly interested in seeing the barriers faced by International Medical Graduates lowered to facilitate their registration with the Australian Medical Board. As a cohort, they offer a very real solution to the enduring rural workforce shortage. I feel as a country, we have the resources and technology to do this without compromising patient safety.

Outside of work, I’m personally driven to encourage and support my two sons whose development are my greatest aspiration. Aside from a two-year stay in Melbourne, I have lived my entire life in Adelaide. I enjoy being outdoors when I can, and love a game of pool, and watching the cricket or football; especially at a live match. I have three cats and a dog who are sources of endless comfort and, at times, amusement.

1. Interventional Radiology Locums – Top-level, tier B IR work performed in dedicated suites with excellent staff support.  Also including some general reporting and procedures throughout the week – *Paid at same IR rate.

This is a great option for interventional radiologists and offers exposure to some unique cases seen in the NT.

Plus, this is an amazing way to provide your medical expertise to this community who are incredibly grateful.

Requirement – Monday – Friday work days. Sunday to Sunday on-call

2. General Radiology Locums – Travel up to the incredible city of Darwin and enjoy well-equipped facilities for general radiology reporting and tier A procedures – these will always be matched ahead of booking in with your own skillset and preferences.

Requirement – Monday to Friday work days, no on-call or weekends required.

$4,000 Per Day - Tamworth and Armidale - Hospital Based Locum

Prescript is delighted to present some new options for Tamworth and Armidale in NSW.

We have a broad range of dates between December 2023 and the middle of February 2024. Dates are also available beyond this.

With higher rates of $4000 per day, this is a great opportunity to locum in a hospital setting whilst providing much-needed radiology services to regional NSW communities.

The Position

These locum roles are located in a hospital environment. Our radiology partner offers a range of services including X-ray, CT, US, Angiography / DSA, DEXA/BMD, MRI, Dental, PET/CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Procedures, and Fluoroscopy.

You may be working with other radiologists although sometimes there is only one radiologist onsite.

Tier B radiologists happy to do some general reporting on top of interventions are welcome to enquire. The health service will match your skill set to the position.

We’re keen to speak with you if you’re a Tier A radiologist or a Tier B radiologist who covers general radiology reporting and some general procedural work.

I’m Jason Ahmad – Senior Radiology Recruitment Partner at Prescript. I have worked in a number of health-related fields; however, medical recruitment has been the most enjoyable. I have more than 20 years of experience in areas such as Pathology, Medical Indemnity and GP Recruitment. This broad knowledge base allows me to understand the challenges faced by those in our field and therefore find solutions that often create enduring positive outcomes.

I am driven professionally by being able to create positive and meaningful health outcomes in rural and regional communities. It is immensely satisfying helping practices and hospitals find the right doctor for their permanent and locum positions, and I pride myself on finding optimal outcomes that balance doctor needs with practice requirements. I see many opportunities for growth in the medical industry. I am particularly interested in seeing the barriers faced by International Medical Graduates lowered to facilitate their registration with the Australian Medical Board. Outside of work, I’m personally driven to encourage and support my two sons whose development are my greatest aspiration. Aside from a two-year stay in Melbourne, I have lived my entire life in Adelaide. I enjoy being outdoors when I can, and love a game of pool, and watching the cricket or football; especially at a live match. I have three cats and a dog who are sources of endless comfort and, at times, amusement.
