Prescript is pleased to offer a broad range of locum weeks in tropical Darwin from now through to the end of February 2025. We are seeking both interventional radiologists happy to do Tier B procedures and general radiologists with a Tier A skillset.
The Positions
Expectations across both role types include reporting between 80 – 100 mixed cases per day, less any procedures you may do. The Tier B role is hospital-based. The Tier A role has both hospital and clinic-based options available.
Interventional Radiology Locums – Tier B IR work performed in dedicated suites with excellent staff support including onsite general radiologist support. This role also includes some general reporting and roughly two to three Tier B procedures per day. This locum week has an oncall component from Sunday to Sunday and you will be working Monday to Friday. Excluding any callbacks, this week pays a minimum of $24,000.
General Radiology Locums – Travel up to the incredible city of Darwin and enjoy well-equipped facilities for general radiology reporting and tier A procedures – these will always be matched ahead of booking in, with your own skillset and preferences. This is a Monday to Friday role with no on-call or weekends required. Please call Jason Ahmad today for information and to answer any questions.
Each location offers a range of services which could include Arthrogram, CT, US, OPG, X-ray, DEXA, Image-Guided Biopsy, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and complex IR for the Tier B role. Your locum position will be personalised to match your skills and expertise, ensuring a tailored experience.

Benefits Provided
Interventional Radiology Locums (Tier B procedures) - Sunday to Sunday – Oncall throughout:
✓ $4,000 + GST per day
✓ $4,000 per week on-call allowance (Sunday 12pm to Sunday 12pm)
✓ $1,000 per call back
General Radiology Locums – Reporting and procedures - Monday to Friday – no weekend or oncall required.
✓ $3,500 per day
You will have all your travel arranged and be staying in a beautiful, self-contained apartment. You’ll have your flights to and from Darwin covered to suit your wishes and a car for the duration of your locum. Prescript seamlessly organises your locum journey.
