With the onset of Spring and the warmer and brighter days, Adelaide is emerging from its winter slumber to kick off its city festivities again.
One of these, which starts around mid-October, is the beloved OzAsia Festival. This is the 13th consecutive year of OzAsia Festival which is held from 17 October to 3 November and will welcome over 60 events. OzAsia celebrates one of the most exotic cultures in the world through its performances, screenings, and exhibitions.
Another reason to head to the City of Churches is to experience one of the world’s top 50 film festivals held biennially in odd-numbered years in mid-October for two weeks. The Adelaide Film Festival, held this year from 10-21 October, is unique as it not only shows films it also commissions them.
Also in October, Tarnanthi, the Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art showcasing art from across the country.
