The Position
Psychiatrists - see yourself embracing the Perth lifestyle? We have a fantastic fixed-term, general adult psychiatrist position with the travel and accommodation benefits of a locum.
Perhaps you’re even considering moving to Perth permanently and would like to trial living there for a period to see if it suits you and your family? There is an opportunity to extend the fixed-term role, as well as there being a permanent position available too.
◾️ Fixed-term 4-6 months, with the option to extend.
◾️ Competitive salary and benefits.
◾️ Start date in September 2020 (flexible).
◾️ Monday - Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
◾️ Participating in the on-call roster will be required approximately one week in every five weeks.
◾️ Supported by a registrar.
◾️ The ideal candidate will have experience in general adult inpatient psychiatry, emergency department and consultant-liaison psychiatry.
◾️ There is a mixture of low prevalence and high prevalence cases; you will develop your experience across major presentations, substance abuse, comorbid substance use, anxiety and depression and other social issues.

✔️ Specialist registration with AHPRA
✔️ You must have highly developed effective communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
✔️ You must either be an Australian citizen/permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen or other relevant Work Visa
