The Position

Have you undertaken recent training in emergency medicine and have the capacity for brief locums in a small referral hospital? Are you considering broadening your ED skills in a rural setting and want to be paid well for your time?

Prescript is helping a hospital in the Far West region of NSW cover urgent gaps in their ED, suitable for PGY3+ ED doctors or General Practitioners confident in managing diverse emergency presentations. Please get in touch if you can assist.

➞ Day, afternoon and night shifts

➞ Junior & Supervisor shifts available

➞ Short and long term blocks

➞ 50-70 Presentations per day

➞ Consultant support during the day and on-call

➞ Experienced nursing team

Dates Available

The department has ongoing locum needs, and returning doctors are preferred. Please get in touch with your available dates, and we can assess the roster for suitability.

Urgent Shifts that require covering as soon as possible are as follows:

Day Shifts (08:00-18:00)

➞ Friday 23 April to Thursday 29 April

➞ Friday 7 May to Sunday 9 May

➞ Friday 28 May to Sunday 6 June

Afternoon shifts (14:00-24:00)

➞ Thursday 29 April to Sunday 2 May

Night Shifts (21:45 – 08:15)

➞ Monday 10 May to Sunday 16 May

What We’re Looking For

➞ Day Shifts - PGY3+ doctors with ALS skills comfortable managing emergency cases independently

➞ Night Shifts - PGY5+ doctors confident working solo, managing multiple patients in ED and Ward calls simultaneously

➞ General Practitioners with ED skills, capable of supervising junior teams and working solo when required.

➞ AHPRA General Registration

➞ An Australian citizen/permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen and other eligible work visas
