Locum Radiologists – $3,500 to $4,000 Per Day in Tropical Cairns

The Position

This locum role will see you working in a private Cairns clinic where your skills across diagnostic and interventional cases will be well utilised. 

The clinic offers a comprehensive range of services including 3T MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, echocardiograms and general and dental OPG x-ray.

Radiologists with breast imaging skills would be highly regarded but not essential. We will match your skills and experience to each position.

Working Monday to Friday with no on-call requirements means you have plenty of time off to enjoy the many natural wonders Cairns has to offer.

Dates Available

This health service has availability for the following dates:

  • 13th March to 17th March: $3,500 per day for a General Radiologist

  • 13th March to 17th March $4,000 per day for a General Radiologist with Breast Imaging skills

  • 27th March to 31st March: $4,000 per day for a General Radiologist

  • 3rd April to 6th April: $4,000 for a General Radiologist (Public holiday 7th April so working is optional)

  • 11th April to 14th April: $4,000 per day for a General Radiologist (Public holiday 10th April so working is optional)

Monday to Friday only - no weekends or on-call. Further dates are on offer so please ask Jason if you would like to know which weeks are available.

The Benefits

★ Daily rate $3,500 - $4,000 per day + GST depending on your skill set.

★ Return economy flights from any location in Australia or New Zealand. Cairns is a 2-hour flight north from Brisbane although there are daily return flights from every capital city as well as some regional centres.

★ Self-contained accommodation which, in some instances, can accommodate your spouse and children.

★ Hire car or if you take your car, reimbursement using the ATO cents per km method.

Who We’re Looking For

FRANZCR.

AHPRA Specialist Registration.

Australian citizen/permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen.

You must have experience with Voice Recognition software for this locum role.

I’m Jason Ahmad – Senior Radiology Recruitment Partner at Prescript. I have worked in a number of health-related fields; however, medical recruitment has been the most enjoyable. I have more than 20 years of experience in areas such as Pathology, Medical Indemnity and GP Recruitment. I am particularly interested in seeing the barriers faced by International Medical Graduates lowered to facilitate their registration with the Australian Medical Board. As a cohort, they offer a very real solution to the enduring rural workforce shortage. I feel as a country, we have the resources and technology to do this without compromising patient safety.

Outside of work, I’m personally driven to encourage and support my two sons whose development are my greatest aspiration. Aside from a two-year stay in Melbourne, I have lived my entire life in Adelaide. I enjoy being outdoors when I can, and love a game of pool, and watching the cricket or football; especially at a live match. I have three cats and a dog who are sources of endless comfort and, at times, amusement.
