Mount Isa, an outback oasis, is in need of Radiologists. Your expertise can significantly impact this remote community, ensuring they have consistent access to high-quality medical imaging. By spending a week or more in Mount Isa, you’ll be providing essential services to a region that heavily relies on locum doctors.
The Position
There’s no question that Mount Isa is one of the most remote locations Radiologists can locum at. And as the sole public hospital-based Radiologist covering cases for the greater region, it’s a very rewarding locum role too.
You are required to operate the clinic attached to the Public Hospital, as well as provide teleradiology services to outlying hospitals/medical services. Current emergency and trauma reporting experience is required.
Services offered in the Medical Imaging Department include CT, XR, US, Fluoro, OPG, MRI, Mammo and Tier A Interventional procedures.

You would be working Monday to Friday with no on-call. Working public holidays is optional

Lake Moondarra is 17km north from Mount Isa town centre and is home to many of the region’s pelicans - it’s a great place for water sports and picnicking.
While in Mount Isa, explore the Hard Times underground mine and the underground hospital and museum.
What We Require From You
✓ Qualifications: FRANZCR and AHPRA Specialist Registration
