Locum Consultant Psychiatrist – New Hobart Outreach Service - May To December 2021

The Position

Psychiatrists – do you want to be part of an exciting new initiative providing care to the most vulnerable in Hobart? You will be part of a team tasked with reducing the number of patients requiring hospital care.

The position will be working across three services:

➞ Acute Care Team

➞ Mental Health Hospital in the Home Unit

➞ Homelessness Outreach Support Team

This is a diverse role and your working week will be diverse and interesting too. You will have support from a full-time consultant and a CMO.

★ $2000 per day

★ Primarily not a hospital/patient-facing position  

★ Long-term locum opportunity with a permanent ongoing option in 2022

★ No weekend or public holiday work

Dates Available

➞ May 10th – December 31st 2021

➞ Monday – Friday 08:30 – 1700

➞ No on-call

➞ No public holidays, no weekends

➞ Preference for a locum to fill the whole block, however, part coverage will be considered

The Benefits

★ $2000 per day

★ Payment choice - either via invoice or via Prescript payroll

➞ Invoice - if PTY Ltd or Trust business structure - you will have PI, PL & WC + Medical Indemnity

➞ Prescript payroll - daily rate inclusive of super, salary packaging available

★ Return economy flights plus optional flights home every 6-weeks

★ Accommodation and car provided

★ Opportunity to manage the roll-out of a new outreach service from its initiation.

FRANZCP

AHPRA Specialist Registration

You must either be an Australian citizen/permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen or other relevant Work Visa

Supervisor Certificate desirable but not necessary
