The Position

Do you have strong emergency skills and a passion for rural emergency care?

Prescript has a permanent role available for AHPRA general registration medical officers in a popular VIC/NSW border health service.

Split between a 24-hour urgent care centre, acute ward and residential aged care facility, you will be working alongside nurses, allied health professionals and local general practitioners to provide comprehensive medical services to this lakeside community on the Murray River.

What We’re Looking For

➞ PGY3+ Medical Officers with Emergency and Rural Experience

➞ General AHPRA Registration

➞ Basic/Advanced life support

➞ FRACGP, FACRRM or FACEM highly desirable (but not essential)

➞ Doctors comfortable working on-call overnight when required

➞ Strong integrity and respect, a collaborative working style and a commitment to compassionate patient care for all people

Benefits You Can Expect

➞ Full-time Victorian Public Health Sector Remuneration, dependent on experience and qualifications

➞ Base salary ranges from:

  • $111,000 – $172,000 (per annum) MOs & SMOs

  • 243,000 – 311,500 (per annum) Specialists

➞ 84 hour working fortnight, with flexibility on shifts (current roster four days one week three days the next)

➞ Relocation support up to $1000 within VIC or $2500 interstate

➞ Opportunity to combine with local General Practice work if qualified

As the ED CMO for this health service, you will be contributing to an innovative and evolving model of rural medical services - linking traditional general practice with hospitalist and rural generalist models.

Your expertise and experience are highly sought after within small rural health services such as this, and your contributions will be making a significant impact across the emergency to aged care spectrum.
