With $4000/day, no on-call, and no weekend work required, it’s a straightforward, well-supported placement in a welcoming Tasmanian community.

The Position

You’ll be working in either a clinic within a public hospital setting in Mersey or a private clinic in Devonport, both located in North Western Tasmania. These are well-organised, well-supported environments — and each locum is tailored to your individual skill set.

Your week will typically involve:

• A mix of general radiology (diagnostic reporting)

• Around 5–6 Tier A procedures per day, such as CT-guided injections and MSK ultrasound

• Option to book injection clinics if you prefer a more procedural locum

• For radiologists with an interest in breast/mammo, we can arrange fit-for-purpose weeks that reflect your scope

The teams you’ll be joining are genuinely friendly and supportive. Technical staff and IT systems are reliable, so your experience is smooth and professionally satisfying from start to finish.

Week-long locums from Monday to Friday, with no weekends or on-call unless you opt in for additional reporting.

Alternatively – you may wish to try some FIFO work for days that suit you.

Rockhampton is a well-connected regional city, rich in history and outdoor lifestyle. Think riverside walking tracks, lush botanic gardens, and heritage architecture. It’s also a great jumping-off point to explore the Capricorn Caves or nearby Mount Archer.

Just 40 minutes down the road is Yeppoon, a beachside town on the Capricorn Coast where relaxed, coastal living is the norm. Radiologists can choose to stay here during their locum block for an ocean view and easy daily commute to Rockhampton. Bonus: it’s also the gateway to Great Keppel Island.

The Positions

• Flexible schedules: Choose from full Monday–Friday weeks or individual days if you're local. No weekends or on-call required.

• Top facilities: Work in clinics and hospitals equipped with cutting-edge technology, including brand-new facilities.

• Tailored roles: Choose from roles that match your expertise—General Radiology (Tier A procedures, with breast imaging and MRI experience welcomed) or Interventional Radiology (Tier B procedures requiring an IR fellowship).

Melbourne: Discover some of Australia’s finest restaurants, galleries, shopping, and sporting events, all easily accessible from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
Geelong: Just an hour from Melbourne, Geelong offers a vibrant coastal lifestyle with stunning townships and scenic coastlines—perfect for a weekend retreat.

• March 2025: All weeks available

• Local radiologists: Enjoy flexibility with part-weeks or single days to suit your schedule

Interventional Radiologists (Tier B) – Melbourne

• March – May 2025: Week-blocks available

• $3500 - $4000 per day + GST

• Return economy flights provided

What We Require From You

• FRANZCR qualification
