Urgent Private GP Coverage – Locum In Outback WA

Under the shadow of red-layered Jurndamurneh (Mount Nameless) lies a community in urgent need of assistance from General Practitioners. This is an opportunity for GPs, with or without emergency medicine skills, to provide critical generalist services - whilst marvelling at the local scenery of the Pilbara on their days off.

If you have pictured yourself working in outback WA, at a well-regarded and supportive private health service, and have the capacity to assist for as little as two weeks over the next few months, please get in touch as soon as possible. We’d love to hear from you!

★ Private billings arrangement (high earning potential)

★ Testing skills in remote MMM7 locations (reduce your moratorium!)

★ Flexible appointments for enterprising GPs looking to maximise their earnings

★ GP Practice or GP + ED on-call

★ Feedback from locums is very positive about the organisation and work environment

★ Excellent administrative and remote specialist support

The Position

There are two ongoing positions available at linked outback practices, suitable for GPs with or without Emergency Medicine experience.

These practices, ran closely together, have recently reorganised their rosters and are looking for tenacious GPs to assist with two urgent vacancies, or by FIFO arrangements over the rest of the year.

TOM PRICE - CLINIC + ED

Working out of Tom Price Medical Centre, you will be working alongside 2 other GPs and sharing on-call responsibilities for the local hospital + Paraburdoo hospital. Major trauma in these small mining towns is uncommon so you will be able to work in the practice (if desired) during your weekdays on-call, maximising your earnings over this time.

High private billings earning potential plus substantial on-call loading

On-call 1 in 3 weekdays & 1 in 3 weekends

Flexibility to provide additional days on-call if desired

Option to book specialised higher income work-cover appointments with the mining organisation Rio Tinto.

PARABURDOO - CLINIC ONLY

Working out of Paraburdoo Medical Centre you will be the sole doctor servicing the primarily mining and indigenous community in the area. This is a private billing practice where you’ll have the flexibility to arrange specialised health assessments to maximise your earning potential.

No weekend, public holiday or on-call commitments

High percentage billings arrangement for quality GPs

Roughly 4 patients per hour, $90 standard appointment charge

45-49 health assessments to be completed - $172 per consult

Experienced and supportive administrative team

Support from local GPs situated in Tom Price + the Paraburdoo Hospital

These are fantastic opportunities to work flexibly for great remuneration in the Pilbara – with shared or no on-call so you can explore the Karijini National Park on your weekends off.
