Locum Rural Generalist – Leeton NSW - Ongoing 7-Day Blocks With High Rates

Prescript would love to speak to any Rural Generalists interested in locum opportunities in Leeton NSW. Dates are available throughout 2022 and 2023, and we welcome enquiries for both urgent and future dates.

This locum position is well remunerated at $3000 per day, which means you can reduce the number of days you work and have more time off to spend with family and friends.

The Position

Leeton Hospital in NSW is looking for an experienced Rural Generalist to work within their lovely community - starting ASAP.

Monday to Monday (7-day blocks) including on-call

Hospital work (ED and Wards)

Well supported by an experienced nursing team

About the hospital & the role:

This 72-bed hospital has a 24-hour accident and emergency. It consists of five ED beds, 25 acute beds, four maternity beds, and 38 residential aged care beds.

On average, you will see approximately 19 patients during the day. The nights are generally quiet, with telehealth accessible in the ED and VRGS connecting you to specialists in city hospitals for any urgent calls for extra assistance. They have an experienced nursing team that will only call overnight for CAT 1 & 2, meaning you will have a decent rest for the next day. About Mel Houston

Hi, I'm Melissa Houston; I am one of the Senior Recruitment Partners at Prescript Recruitment, working with rural generalists and emergency medicine doctors across metro and regional Australia.

My experience covers over a decade of medical recruitment, specialising in senior doctors and solving the healthcare shortage.

I am an expert in working closely with hospitals, departments, and clinics to fill their critical vacancies. My success has included roster management, executive search projects and in-depth relationship building with locum doctors.

I love to work hard whilst injecting humour and fun into my day-to-day activities. I really enjoy meeting clients and doctors; as it stands, I think I've ticked off 100 hospitals that I have visited, and that is probably only touching the surface. I believe it's integral to matching doctors’ and clients’ needs and helps me better understand doctors' new roles.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my daughter and family. I'm a water baby at heart, so you'll often find me out on our family boat - sailing the beautiful waters of the Mornington Peninsula (where I live!).
