Locum Rural Generalist - GPA, GPO, or GP with AST – Work In The NT - 2022
The Position
Five hours from Alice Springs, an outback hospital in the NT with 20 beds is seeking your availability for 2022 and beyond. As a Rural Generalist, this will be one of the highest levels you work at - an extremely highly rewarding role, covering all aspects of your training and why you become a doctor.
★ Ward rounds in the mornings and ED and ward cover for the rest of the day
★ Tuesdays and Thursdays you will travel 170kms from Alice Springs to assist with women’s and children’s health
★ Be part of a driven team that always pitches in, works together, and offers the highest level of care to a very remote part of the country
★ On-call is shared 1:3, call-out on average is every second phone call
★ Flights in are via Airnorth Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and are also accessible by the RFDS on Mondays and Fridays (2 flights a day, one in the morning and one out in the afternoon)

➞ The average locum period is 7-10 days, with FIFO options available
The Benefits

★ Join an experienced team, of which most have been there for five years plus, with leadership from an energetic hands-on Director of Medical Services
Who We’re Looking For
✓ Specialist Registration with AHPRA
✓ FRACGP - desirable for Rural Generalist with AST in ED, Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or JCCA
✓ You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or relevant work visa
✓ Extensive ED skills as wait time for a retrieval is minimal of 3 hours, no FACEM on site
