Locum GP – Primary Care for Australians Returning From Overseas - NT

The Position

Prescript currently has Specialist General Practice locum roles in Howard Springs, NT, for the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre (NCCTRC). Dates are available from 1st March – 31st April 2021 with the possibility of extension (can split into 2 x month blocks).

This is a rewarding locum opportunity providing primary care for Australians returning from overseas. You will be leading a multidisciplinary team in a potentially challenging environment to ensure vulnerable patients receive the highest quality of care.

▪️ Based at the Howard Springs Centre for National Resilience (NT)

▪️ Monday – Friday with potential on-call responsibilities

▪️ General Practice presentations for 500-1000 persons accommodated on site

▪️ Following Standard Operating Procedures and utilising telemedicine tools

▪️ Leadership in infection-prevention and control best practice, and use of personal protective equipment

▪️ Clinical management, swabbing and screening of COVID-19 positive persons

Dates Available

The Benefits

➞ $2500 per day, dependent on experience

➞ On-call: $130 per 24h period and $130ph for any call-backs

➞ On-site accommodation provided or alternative accommodation available

➞ Return economy airfare reimbursed

➞ Hire car provided for the duration

Criteria:

➞ AHPRA Specialist Registration

➞ RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship

➞ Flexible candidates who can adapt to the environment and assist with on-call when required
