Locum FACEMs – Crisis Rates In Scenic Coastal Tasmania – $3500 Per Day

Are you considering taking some time off to locum but want to maximise your earnings? Maybe you should consider a working holiday in Northern Tasmania!

Not only would you be helping health services with their critical gaps, but you’ll also be remunerated $3500 per day, with time off between shifts to relax and enjoy the charming towns of Burnie, Latrobe, or beyond.

These are highly accessible hospitals with excellent feedback from past locums – supportive departments, manageable workloads with minimal on-call, desirable accommodation, and excellent daily rates. If you have even just 2 days to help pick up some shifts we want to hear from you!

This is an opportunity to help with crisis shifts at popular hospitals with significantly increased rates – these high rates are unlikely to continue into 2023. Please get in touch as soon as you can to secure your blocks.

The Position

Work is undertaken at either North West Regional Hospital, Burnie, or Mersey Community Hospital, Latrobe. If you are able to offer medium-long term assistance you can pick and choose shifts at both, they’re only 40 minutes drive apart.

Both hospitals are staffed with 4 FACEMs during the day plus 5-6 ED Registrars/CMOs over 24 hours. You’ll therefore be very well supported during your 9.5-hour shifts. Although there are shared on-call requirements, experienced CMO teams cover the nights so it is unlikely you would be required for call-backs.

Book as little as two shifts back-to-back, or we can identify blocks in the roster to allow you time off to enjoy the sites of Northern Tasmania.

With 2-3 bedroom accommodation provided, why not bring the family along – there’s so much picturesque scenery and things to do and see; wine tours, Tamar Valley, heritage tours, amazing coastal walks, and of course the beautiful city of Launceston which has been named the ‘Creative City of Gastronomy’.
