Flexible Working For PGY4+ Doctors - Work From Home Telehealth Locum

Imagine four years ago having the option to work from home as a doctor. Pre-COVID, doctor telehealth locum opportunities were practically unheard of!

Telehealth is one rare benefit that has arisen from the pandemic, and it is becoming increasingly attractive among both doctors and patients.

Working from home comes with a multitude of benefits - Flexible working means you can finally have the ideal work-life balance and work to a schedule that suits you and your lifestyle.

Prescript is currently looking for PGY4+ doctors interested in locuming via Telehealth for a private clinic on a long-term basis - 3 months plus considered.

This may be the complimentary service that can work well with your existing locum and permanent work arrangements, or this could be a transformative new job you decide to do full time!

One of our regular locum doctors has loved working for this health service so much that they have committed to working for them for the remainder of 2022, and possibly into 2023!

The Position

Have a great work-life balance with this work-from-home telehealth locum.

  • Work for one of Australia’s largest, award-winning telehealth providers.

  • Two sides to the business: GP telehealth and cosmetics scripting.

GP consults:

This is the core of the business. Aiming to provide access to healthcare when a regular GP is not available.

Cosmetic Scripting:

If you have a background in or are interested in cosmetic scripting for botox or dermal fillers, please let us know, and we can include you in the roster to cover those patients.

Qualifications:

Doctors with at least general registration but the preference is FRACGP. Pediatrics experience is important.

Prescribing:

You will not be providing Schedule 8 medications; only prescribing some Schedule 4’s through responsible prescribing practices.

Consulting:

Normal consults include: UTI's, STI's, Upper respiratory, OCP, Thrush, Croup, Rashes.

⇒Virtual Waiting Room:

There is a virtual waiting room that allows you to access patients on a first-come, first-serve basis.

You will choose them from the waiting room, and call them back via phone. Patients have the ability to upload photos to their file for you to view. Appointments will be via phone, not video calling. Doctors have given feedback that the system is very easy to use.

Fees:

Doctors receive 60% of billing. Doctors will typically consult a minimum of 7 patients per hour. However, most will achieve 8-10 patients per hour. You should be able to achieve over $200 per hour.

100% private pay - they do not offer medicare bulk billing or rebates.

Patient Demand:

Endless supply of patients - this health service is currently having to turn away hundreds of patients per day and are in critical need of more doctors to see the patients.

Consultations from 6 am - 11 pm, 7 days per week (AEST).
