Canberra Fixed-Term RMO PGY2 - October 2019 to February 2020 and beyond
Prescript is looking for Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) for a number of fixed term contract positions at Canberra’s tertiary referral hospital (and the other hospitals within the network).
Doctors who currently hold General, Limited or Provisional registration with AHPRA are encouraged to apply.
◼️ Start date October 2019. Fixed-term until February 2020 with possible option to extend for 12 months.

The Role
You will be providing day-to-day medical care for patients under the supervision and direction of the hospital’s experienced senior medical officers. This health service understands the importance of continued broad based clinical exposure and so offers a wide range of rotations for RMOs. A special effort is made to ensure that all RMOs have access to rotations that are going to contribute to the accreditation of the terms for their career progression.
Please Note:
▪️ There are 4 rotations over each 12 month period, each one 12-13 weeks in length.
▪️ Rotations cannot be guaranteed.
▪️ During each rotation you would likely be rostered at least one set of nights (7 days) – these are followed by 7 days off .
▪️ Some rotations are in more rural locations, such as Bega and Goulburn.

What We’re Looking For

✔️ Available to start in October 2019 for an initial fixed-term contract to February 2020 (with possible twelve-month contract extension).
✔️ Must have Australian Hospital experience.
✔️ Hold limited, provisional or general registration with AHPRA.
✔️ Have completed at least one-year postgraduate training.
✔️ You will be friendly and approachable and will have the ability to relate well to staff members and your patients.
✔️ An efficient and considerate team player with a 'can-do' attitude.
✔️ Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. Temporary visas can be considered.
