The Position
Picture this: Escape to Lake Macquarie and embark on a fulfilling locum as a VMO Psychiatrist at Morisset Hospital. Not only will you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients, but you'll also have the chance to explore the breathtaking natural beauty and exciting activities that Lake Macquarie has to offer.
You'll be responsible for the clinical care of patients in the rehabilitation program. These patients residing on the picturesque hospital grounds require specialised care for enduring and severe mental illness, along with comorbid substance use issues, personality vulnerabilities, and cognitive deficits. Your expertise will be crucial in leading a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide recovery-focused rehabilitation services.
As a leader of the multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide recovery-focused rehabilitation services for patients with enduring mental illness, comorbidities, and cognitive deficits. Take advantage of the opportunity to mentor and supervise junior medical staff, while collaborating with NDIS and Community Managed Organisations for effective discharge planning and comprehensive patient care.
★ Monday to Friday open shifts from September to October
★ Work hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
★ Compensation: $2,000 per day
