About Launceston

Launceston, like the rest of Tasmania, is a good example of good things coming in small packages.

Tasmania’s second biggest city, Launceston is ideally nestled at the head of the beautiful Tamar Valley. The city has grown around a pretty port which has a fascinating history and a vibrant modern day culture.

The region’s natural beauty is truly staggering. What other city has a spectacular gorge of monumental proportions and breathtaking wonder, just a few minutes’ walk from its centre?

Launceston also has developed a well-deserved reputation for great wine, excellent food from the local surrounds, and a buzzing vibe in which to enjoy all these good things.

ABOUT YOU

With solid experience as a medical registrar, you should now be ready to take on a more senior role where you will be responsible for supervising junior medical officers and overseeing the provision of high-quality patient care. A passion for regional healthcare and current registration with AHPRA are also essential in order to be considered for this role.
